Overview:	Released in October of 1993 Limited Edition Beta is technically the second part of the first print run of Magic: The Gathering (behind Alpha). Beta included two cards that were accidentally left out of Alpha (Circle of Protection: Black and Volcanic Island), and included a third art variation for each of the 5 basic lands.
